Report text about Welcoming Dance

    Welcoming dance in West Borneo especially from dayak traditions, known as "Ajat Temuai Datai". Ajat Temuai Datai lifted from Dayak language. Welcoming dance is a dance for welcoming guest of important guest. long time ago, welcoming dance used for ritual or a ceremony. Dayaknese believe if guest are welcomed to their place, guest will be happy, will be safe. if guest wants to return to their home they will safe also. they believe guest will safe because they are guarded by a spirit, their ancestors and angels from heaven. if the guests are not welcomed by welcoming dance, guests will not save.
   The process of welcoming dance is not difficult. before they appear, they will practice first. welcoming dance is very beautiful, and makes people very impressed. welcoming dance requires agility of foot and hand. dancer will dance and give guest a garlands of flowers.
     The leaders of a welcoming dance will be about providing command to the dancer. the leaders are very strict because dayaknese respect for welcoming dance. welcoming dance is part of their tradition and they will prove the dayak tribe has a very beautiful art. 
     The purpose of welcoming dance are, first to make the guest impressed by a beauty of the culture and art of western borneo, and the second that they believe, guest will be safe as long as they are in west borneo, and guest will happy and enjoy the culture and art of dayak tribe.
